Biography

Edwards, Roger E., of Chesterfield Missouri, at home with the Lord suddenly on Wednesday January 9, 2013. Beloved husband of Deanna K. Edwards for 49 years. Cherished father of Rene' (Mark) Hofstetter and Darren (Becky) Edwards. Caring grandfather of David Hofstetter, Grant Edwards, and Morgan Edwards. Dear brother of Gerald Edwards and Dana Scalia. Dear brother-in-law of Cheryle Condo, Sara Jane Updegraff, Kimberly Stoller and Timothy Stoller. Our dear uncle, great uncle, nephew, cousin, neighbor and friend.

Roger was born on January 6, 1940, the son of Robert and Margaret Edwards, in Murrayville, Illinois. He grew up and attended school in Gnadenhutten, Ohio. He joined and served in the U.S. Navy. He relocated to St. Louis and was employed by McDonnell Douglas for 32 yrs. He enjoyed attending and serving at Fee Fee Baptist Church, helping others, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11 A.M. at Fee Fee Baptist church, 11330 St. Charles Rock Rd. (Bridgeton) with burial to follow at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Shepard Funeral Chapel, 9255 Natural Bridge at I-170 from 4-9 P.M. Family requests memorial contributions to Fee Fee Baptist Church, 11330 St. Charles Rock Rd., Bridgeton, MO 63044
